Team

I gave my talk at the Emmaus team meeting Saturday and it went over pretty well. That was the first time I had even read it out loud, so my eyes weren't up much, and it was not presented as well as I would have liked, but the main points were there and well received. I edited it a LOT the next day and feel much better about it now. There are a few on the team with little sense of humor, and very "by the book", but I'll comply with the book and be funny. This team has a very different feel to it so far than the previous couple of walks I've worked. I'm sure it will be (as usual) the "best walk ever" as they say. ----------------One of these days I'll figure out why hitting "enter" doesn't give me a new paragraph. Or I'll remember to compose on my word processor and paste here. ----------------I'm off to the coffee house to study my music. I'll have to plug my walkman deep in my ears to hide their music. One of the chorus members provided a burned copy of all the music we're doing for this concert. I am not at all familiar with the German, Brahms. It is really pretty, but I need to LEARN it by Monday. Paul was not happy with us last time. We were still sight reading and just muttering the German. That'll never do. Especially the German. Those folks really spit the words out. I'm much more comfortable with the Latin.-----------------Really dread going to work today. We have 20 kids scheduled and only 5 adults. I guess we'll put the adults in the "Kids" room and shut the door instead of the other way as usual. But then the nurses will want to be in there where it's quieter. Maybe we could just take our desk in there and shut the door. They sure can make a racket! The kids, I mean. The nurses can sure go crazy after several hours of kids crying. --but we're SO professional. You'd never know.....
